Together with the production companies Bavaria Pictures and Degeto film, Yellow Bird has produced a 2x90 German TV series based on the Henning Mankell novel Kennedy´s Brain. The series was made for broadcaster ARD.
The leading role is played by the well known German actress Iris Berben. The series also stars the famous Swedish actors Michael Nyqvist, Rolf Lassgård, Julia Dufvenius and Andreas Wilson.
Kennedy´s brain is a timely and riveting drama thriller which follows a mother's search for the truth about her son's death. In Africa, she picks up the trail of a horrifying scandal that her son has uncovered. Soon she comes face to face with the people who have caused the death of her son in order to keep the scandal a secret – people who are ready to kill again…
The series was shot in a variety of locations in South Africa, Mozambique, Munich and Gothenburg between January and April 2009.

Both episodes in the series was broadcast by ARD on 3 April 2010. It attracted an audience of around 6.2 million, which was equal to a market share of 22 percent.
