Yellowbird

Yellow Bird was founded in 2003 and is currently one of Scandinavia’s biggest companies in the development and production of drama for TV and cinema. A German subsidiary has also been established in Munich.

Yellow Bird focuses primarily on international co-productions based on successful books or on characters from such books. Among other things, the company has produced the adaptation of Stieg Larsson's Millennium trilogy and the Swedish and English Wallander series (the latter together with UK company Left Bank Pictures).

Kennedy´s Brain - A 2x90 minutes German TV series based on Henning Mankell’s novel Kennedy’s brain, together with the production company Bavaria and the broadcaster ARD

The Irene Huss series - Six Swedish films about criminal inspector Irene Huss, based on the books by Helene Tursten (together with Illusion Film).

The company is also in development of several new interesting projects. Among those are a series of Norwegian films based on Anne Holt's "Vik/Stubo
" books, a Norwegian feature film based on Jo Nesbø's thriller novel Headhunters and a series of Swedish films based on Liza Marklund's book about crime reporter Annika Bengtzon.

In Germany, Yellow Bird Pictures is developing a two part miniseries together with ARD Degeto based on Henning Mankell's novel The Man From Beijing.

Yellow Bird is part of Zodiak Entertainment, one of Europe´s leading content producers.
